Frequently
Asked Questions
Q: What does
www.PassCalculus.com offer?
A: We offer a
math question solution service. If you have any questions in math or
calculus that you want the complete detailed written answers for
then you have come to the right place. We will neatly write the
solutions out, and send them to you, either by email as a PDF
attachment, or by fax. For the 3 steps to get your solutions, click
here.
Q: Can I see
some examples to the math questions students have sent you, and the
solutions you sent back to them?
A: Of course,
please see the Examples page. Here is a good place to see the type of work we
do and to see how much we charge. It is also a good source of
practice calculus problems for you to work through since the
complete solutions are right there.
Q: When you
send me the solutions to my math questions will they be hand written
or typed?
A: The solutions
that we provide you will always be neatly hand written. Type setting
mathematics is a long process, that you probably don't want to pay
extra for. If for some reason you need the solutions typed then this
can be arranged but the extra hours needed for typing it will be
factored into the cost quote.
Q: Once you
have written the solutions to my problems down how do you get them
to me?
A: We prefer to
send them to you by email as an attached PDF file, but we can also
fax you the solutions.
Q: I sent my
problems to you, got my quote code, and now I want to pay. Where do
I go? Can I pay by credit card? Can I use PayPal?
A:
Quotes can be paid by credit card on the Payment
page. Enter your quote code in the database search line. When your
file comes up, click on the link to pay with your credit card.
You can pay with a wide variety
of credit cards such as MasterCard, VISA, American Express and
Discover.
If you prefer to use PayPal just
send the quoted payment to us at our email address:
support@passcalculus.com.
Please include your quote code in the message box of the PayPal
"Send Money" page.
Q: How can I
be sure that my credit card information is safe?
A: We do all our
credit card transactions through the third party processor
Click Bank. This is a well
known and trusted credit card processor. It is their business and
livelihood to ensure the security and privacy of your credit card
information. No one at www.PassCalculus.com will ever see any of
this information.
Q: Do you
offer a refund policy if I am not satisfied?
A: If after
receiving your solutions you are not completely satisfied we will
refund all of your money! For a refund you must make the request
within 2 weeks of receiving your solutions. For any inquiries
regarding refunds contact
www.PassCalculus.com by phone at 514-933-3606 or by email at
support@passcalculus.com
. Alternatively contact
Click Bank by
phone at 208-345-4245 or by email at
service@clickbank.com.
Just explain to us any problem you are having and we will take care
of it right away.
Q: Are there
any extra charges on top of the price given in the quote?
A: NO! There are
absolutely no extra charges beside the cost we quoted you after you
sent us your question set.
Q: If after
receiving the solutions to my question set I have some questions on
how you arrived at an answer can I ask you to explain it?
A: Yes, this is
included in the price. If you have some questions regarding the
solutions we sent you then just call us at 514-933-3606 and we can
discuss any problems you are having.
Q: Do you
offer math tutoring by telephone?
A: Yes, this
service is available. You can send in some questions and then we can
talk about them over the phone. Please call 514-933-3606 or email us
for more information.
Q: Do you
solve math questions for other math courses besides calculus?
A: YES! Our math
question solution service can be used by anyone who needs help in
any math course. We can give you solutions for high school math,
calculus, multivariable calculus, linear algebra, statistics,
probability, real analysis, complex analysis, differential
equations, abstract algebra, number theory, topology, symbolic
logic,...
Just send us
your math questions, whatever they may be, and we will give you a
firm quote of how much the solutions will be.
Q: How do you
determine the cost of doing my question set?
A: When you
send
us your math problem set we look at it question by question, and
determine how much time it will take to write the solutions down. We
have done these types of questions so many times we know how long
each type of question takes to write down. For example questions
about finding the derivative do not take very long, but a question asking to draw a
graph and include all the information about the graph will take
longer. The cost is based solely on the estimated length of time it
will take to write down complete step by step solutions for each of
your questions.
Since obtaining
a quote for the solutions of your math questions is free, why not
send your problems to us to see how much they would cost...
Q: Is Calculus
really all that hard?
A: That depends
on a number of things. Firstly, it depends on how good your
background in mathematics from high school is. In calculus you will
use a great deal of what you learnt in all of your previous math
courses. Secondly it depends on how your mind processes abstract
information. For example if a=b and b=c is it obvious to you that
a=c?
But the truth really is that
YES, calculus is hard. If you take the course seriously calculus
will take most all of your time, much more than your other courses.
A calculus course moves very fast. If you stop paying attention for
a while you may find yourself to lost to catch up again. So, go to
class, pay attention, and read your text book and class notes. Any
answers you need on the way can be found here at
www.PassCalculus.com.
Q: My degree
has nothing to do with math, why do I have to take calculus?
A: The truth is
that most of you will absolutely never use what you learn in a
calculus course in any type of real world or job related situation.
The only people who will ever use it in their daily lives are
mathematicians, scientists, and the teachers of it. The kind of math
that is useful in life is learnt in the math courses from
kindergarten to high school, not in a calculus course. So why are
you forced to take calculus in your academic program if you will
never use it later on the job?
Many schools use calculus as
a filter. In certain degree programs, such as business and medicine,
there are so many students who apply to be accepted. In order to
thin out the applicant pool schools simply make calculus a
requirement, and suddenly there are a lot less people to consider.
Calculus is hard, and why not accept those students into the program
who can handle this hard subject over those who can't!
